This was after the assistant referee gave a throw ball to the visitors; a thing that did not go well with the K'Ogalo diehards, who vented their fury by hurling objects and other missiles on the pitch. This prompted security officers to throw teargas canisters to disperse the protesting and raged fans to restore calm and order.

Meanwhile, both teams players' moved and milled around at the centre of the pitch.

There was no reported injury on players during the mayhem.

After the running battles between the security officers and the fans; the situation returned to normalcy and the referee resumed the match as KCB went on to win 1-0 thanks to Kennedy Owino's lone goal on the 22nd minutes.

It's still not known what punishment or sanction shall be meted on the Gor Mahia fans' unsporting behavior that saw the match disrupted, with this not being the first time.

This is the second time fans are disrupting a match, after a similar case that saw AFC Leopards fans storm the picthc during a KPL match against Nzoia Sugar.
