Alego Usonga MP Samuel Atandi has lashed out at his South Mugirango counterpart Sylvanus Osoro for praising Deputy President William Ruto.
Speaking while accompanying the DP to Kisii County on Friday, Osoro hailed Ruto as the best leadership option, declaring his full support for him and his ideologies going forward.
However, in a quick rejoinder on his Twitter account, Atandi bashed Osoro for demeaning himself in favour of the DP, terming him an embarrassment to youthful parliamentarians.
He termed it baffling that a lawmaker can stoop that low to believe that development can only be received through someone's pockets, despite having development roles bestowed on him.
"Hon Silvanus Osoro is an embarrassment to the greater youth constituency. How a lawmaker believes development comes from someone pockets is baffling," he wrote.
Osoro is among the leaders from Gusii region who have openly declared their support for the DP and his 2022 presidential ambitions, despite calls for politicians to shun the 2022 debate.
He has also been present in most of Ruto's tours of the region, bringing him out as one of his footsoldiers in the region.
Atandi, on the other hand, is allied to opposition boss Raila Odinga-led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.
