Anchored in Milimani estate near Masinde Muliro University, NEMA has been sanctioned by a lobby group to reposes the land.

Western Land Alliance chairam Ayub Maleche accused the senator of grabbing the land.

“We request Nema to demolish the house with immediate effect because the property has been built on grabbed riparian and wetland,” read part of the petition which was also copied to Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka.

But Malala, a vocal ANC senator and a close confidant of Raila Odinga, has dismissed the move labeling it as witch-hunt.

While NEMA communication officer Evans Nyabuto said a report over the same will be released, Malala accused his tormentors of being ignorant.

“Those people are ignorant they do not understand that all wetlands in the country are gazetted. The said piece of land was bought in 2001, let them bring their petition to Senate,” Malala said.
