Undercover police officer popularly known as Hessy Wa Dandoraa has issued a 72 hours ultimatum to Sonko's rescue team chairperson Mathias Owino alias Swaleh to produce a gun believed to be in the hands of criminals.
Hessy through their Facebook page Nairobi Free Crime wants Swaleh to surrender a gun that is alleged to be in hands of a dangerous city criminal.
There has been a video circulating in social media where Swaleh claims to have received the rifle from the criminal and insists that he will surrender it to Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.
"Swaleh, you are a leader in your own capacity as the chairman SONKO_RESCUE_TEAM. Am addressing you today for the last time, and this is my simple message for you. Take that AK 47 rifle and peacefully hand it over to the nearest police station. " Posted Hessy.
The police officer advised Swaleh to do so in front of cameras without being intimidated or forced by any police officer.
" Then after handing over that gun, tell your crew to share the clip anywhere, I know how I will get it, if you do exactly that, we will be great friends," added Hessy.
The cop also sent a stern warning to the chairperson that if he fails to produce the gun within 72 hours he would be forced to leave Nairobi.
" Don't think we are here to joke with matters of security, do you know the capability of an AK 47 in the wrong hands? Remember, 72hrs." insisted Hessy.
He also advised youth with illegal firearms to follow the right procedure and surrender them through church leaders, Nyumba Kumi initiative officials or to the nearest police station for clearance.
