Citizen TV anchor has been subjected to online ridicule following her dramatic fallout with tycoon boyfriend Jared Ombong'i alias Niverton.
In a post supposedly from her Instagram page, Muli sensationally termed Mr Ombong'i as a community husband, remarks which provoked a section of Gusii women.
At various social media groups, Muli's conduct was questioned with some users accusing her of tribalism even as some defended her move.
"It's rather awkward to refer to someone as a community husband. She should have had some courtesy. We have seen people separating and divorcing. That's uncalled for and she should apologise to the community," said Eunice Moraa.
Anned Nyakerario added: "Very unfortunate to call someone a commitment husband. She should come out and apologize. You cannot vilify someone based on a community."
Ms Muli moved in with the Kisii tycoon Ombong'i in 2014 and the couple was blessed with a boy this year. They have been seen in several social functions across Gusii land and Niverton formally introduced her at a funeral ceremony in Masaba this September.
Locally, Niverton is known for his philanthropism and is one of the chief sponsors of Shabana FC, a football club widely celebrated within Kisii and Nyamira Counties.
