Talking to this writer on phone, the school principal Mrs. Joyce Orioki says that the story carried by Royal Media service's Egesa FM is made of lies.

"The story being peddled about the state of the students admitted at Nyangena Hospital is false. The girls hospitalised are stable and recuperating well. It was a small issue which is far from food poisoning, " said the Principal

Earlier on, Hyrine Ocharo a journalist affiliated with Egesa FM posted on Facebook that the administration had locked out parents who had come to know the welfare of their daughters after spreading of the news that most of them were admitted in the hospital.

Madam Joyce Orioki strongly condemned the news by the media house terming them as irresponsible and worthy fueling conflict with the parents.

"I haven't received any reports showing that there are parents who were locked out from accessing the school premises. These are your children thus we should work together to ensure they are safe from any harm," added Mrs Orioki.

Several social media users are pushing the government to intervene and safeguard the health of the affected students.
