Wetangula indicated that as it is now, the Nasa coalition which comprises of the ODM party, Wiper Democratic Movement, ANC and Ford Kenya, lost trust from Kenyans after its presidential candidate in the 2017 elections, Raila Odinga allegedly betrayed the opposition by joining hands with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking in Mtwapa, Kilifi County, the Bungoma senator dismissed the existence of NASA saying the coalition is now a history and so Ford Kenya can not be party to it.

"As far as I'm concerned, NASA is history. We supported our presidential candidate but he let us down and we can not continue being part of history," he said.

The party leader said Ford Kenya and other two-NASA affiliate parties suffered humiliation during the March 9, handshake and will now embark on a countrywide tour of popularizing the party at the grassroot level ahead of 2022 elections.
