Garissa police are holding two suspected terrorists after they were driven into the station by a patriotic taxi driver.

In a police statement exclusively seen by this writer and booked under OB 33/18/1/2018, a driver by the name Osman Shue had reportedly picked Ibrahim Ali Guyo aged 19 and Aden Hassan Mohamed aged 22 from Hoosingo area in Somalia when he became suspicious.

It is then that he drove directly to the Garissa AP camp.

"On reaching Hamey they changed and said they wanted to go to Hagadera in Kenya and instructed the driver not to pass through the main road. The driver sensed danger and on reaching Alnjugur he drove into the Administration Police camp," reads the OB statement in part.

At the AP camp, a search was conducted by officers on high alert where a Ceska pistol with 15 bullets, another  Makarov pistol with eight bullets and some whitish powder recovered from them.

"A search was conducted and a Ceska pistol loaded with 15 bullets, a Makarov pistol loaded with eight bullets and whitish powder were recovered," the statement further read.

The suspects are currently being held in Garissa police station as more investigations commence.
