1. Impulse buying

Impulse purchase often leaves many broke. Plan before hitting a store. Do not buy something because you saw it. Ask yourself whether you really need the item before purchasing the same.

2. Rush-hour purchases

Never buy in a rush. Most Kenyans wait until the last minute before they move up and down to purchase what they need. The high demand makes it expensive to purchase different things. You need to buy early if you want to save money in the long run.

3. Credit buying

Credit purchase makes it hard to plan for your finances. You will always be broke, goods bought on credit are mostly expensive because the sellers normally include some extra cash.

4. Buying more to save more

Some people often buy more things than they require just because they want to save. Only purchase what you need. It is not worth it when you save only to buy what you do not need in your life.
