Edging details indicate that Kericho governor Paul Chepkwony is a certified herbalist doctor with several herbal medicine brands.
The revelation was made by Kipkelion East Member of Parliament Joseph Limo during during the Kenyan Inter-Counties Sports and Cultural Association (KICOSCA) games.
While encouraging participants to take the governor's concoctions at the Kericho Green Stadium on Saturday, he claimed that the herbs can even boost one's sexual performance.
"In Kericho County, our governor is also an expert in herbal medicine. His concoctions make one very strong even (sexually). Don't forget to take some of it with you," he said.
The former Chemistry professor at the Moi University is said to have invented tens of herbal medicine brands.
The event began with Deputy President William Ruto's ceremonial penalty kick that left the governor, who was between the poles, falling in the opposite direction as the ball hit the back of the net.
The DP pledged the government's commitment to delivering on its promise to enhance sporting activities, including construction of stadiums and sporting academies in all the counties.
The governor, on his side, called for the removal of the word "war" in the me tug of war, and replaced with "peace" to make it tug of peace.
