Anyone can purchase prepaid tokens for a wrong meter number and it has been a common mistake people make evey now and then.
It is unfortunate that only a few can reverse their tokens after topping up to the wrong meter number.
Just like money sent to the wrong recipient via Mpesa or Airtel money, you can as well claim back your erroneously sent token without any hustle.
This is what you will be required to do;
1. Visit the Kenya Power and Lighting Offices
You can decide to visit their offices after the wrong transaction. Remember to carry your correct meter number, national identity card and the transaction details.
You will be advised to fill in a relocation form and other necessary details for you to get back your tokens.
2. Make a call to their customer care
This is the best, easiest and efficient method. If you can't visit their nearest offices, you better call them as soon as possible and inform them on the same. They will ask you a few questions regarding the transaction, like at what time did you buy it and it was worth how much and such questions. You will receive back your token in no time after giving out correct details.
3. Contacting KPLC via social media
You can reach out to them through their social media account. Contact them on either Twitter or Facebook. You will then provide all the transaction details and the correct account number for faster reversal.
