Renowned city lawyer and socio-political commentator Steve Ogolla has weighed in on the debate triggered by a video showing a boy spewing vulgarities.
Writing on Twitter on Wednesday, the lawyer said the boy should be admitted to a rehabilitation school to afford him the opportunity to change his behaviour.
Mr Ogolla warned that the boy, who has triggered a conversation on parenthood and societal influence, could influence other children to take up his behaviour.
"CONSOLATA BOY is a child of difficult character. He's capable of inappropriate influence on other children in the school. The law provides for methods of dealing with child offenders, including admission to rehabilitation schools. This boy is a perfect fit for admission, " Steve Ogolla's tweet read.
The Consolata boy was seen in a viral video threatening another child with death as he uttered x-rated words that have left the Kenyan public reeling.
He would later do another video tendering an apology for being vulgar but hardly days later he released yet another video with another boy, who is said to be his cousin, hurling vulgarities with reckless abandon.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Child Protection Unit has launched investigations in a bid to get an insight into what could have influenced the boy.
