In a previous article, we told you about the long and steep journey of Inooro FM radio presenter Jeff Kuria.
Kuria who now co-hosts Inooro FM breakfast show, Hagaria, alongside Wambui Muturi went through thick and thin to be where he is today.
The deep-voiced presenter started at the Kenya National Theater in 2005 where among other things was an actor using the stage name 'Wakinyondo'.
Kuria in 2008 unsuccessfully tried to trace his way back to the theatre where he was to start a Kikuyu stand-up comedy show.
"The idea of Kikuyu stand-up comedy failed me basically because I had limited finances to travel all over Gikuyuland to scout for talents," Kuria told this writer during a previous interview.
"I, however, remain committed to making this idea a reality because I believe that there are so many talented Kikuyu youths who can make a living from their God-gifted talents especially in comedy. On Kikuyu comedy we have barely scratched the ground and, therefore, we still have many unexploited talents," he added.
Well, that was three months ago and Kuria's eyes are apparently still fixed on the ball if what he has been posting on his official Twitter handle is anything to go by.
All indications are that Kuria could be gearing up to rival Kameme FM comedian Mzee Kiengei who is currently the only one who hosts a Gikuyu stand up comedy show (Kiengei Live) which airs on Kameme TV every Sunday evening.
Here is one the many posts that Kuria has been sharing on Twitter this week inviting fans of Gikuyu comedy for a 'night of laughter' in Nyeri.
