Well, the sad truth is that you somehow have to stop chasing them and embark on focusing on yourself. 

It could be that they never turn out to be yours. 

But what are the indicators that you should stop chasing after your crush? Here are five of them:

1. Your friends hate them

Your friends should not, under normal circumstances, decide who you should love; but they should like your choice. 

If your crush is consistently not liked by any of your friends or majority of them, you seriously need to stop chasing them and exploit other valid options. 

2. Time is elapsing

Well, you have chased them long enough, and you feel it is time, but something keeps coming up, and you don't get there. 

At times, they may even avoid talking on love issues, and there is always that ever-present gap between the prevailing circumstances and what should be the case. 

Well, don't chase them for that long, stop and look in other directions.

3. Nothing is working

You try to have them do or commit to something, but always, there are a lot of things keeping that from happening. 

No matter how hard you try, everything collapses, and you are always on the foundation of this fantastic castle.

4. You have a feeling they don't want to be caught

Why keep chasing if you know, at the back of your mind, that somehow, they do not value you. 

If you ever feel that your crush is not interested, just let them be and walk away.

5. You are getting 'tired'

Well, it is up to you to go on pressing,  but if it gets too much, just let them be. 

Love is a 50-50 affair after all. 

It is never going to work if it is one-sided.
