Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has openly laid bare his dislike for some of the things happening within the ruling Jubilee Party and how the party is being run.
Speaking on Tuesday, the first-term lawmaker stated that he dislikes the fact that the party leadership has not been keen on calling any convention to solve the many issues within.
He noted with regret that the party has not been calling any form of meetings, from where policies should be emanating, terming the current situation a demonstration that Jubilee is no longer being run on ideologies.
"I don't remember the last time we had a PG, a General Councils Meeting or a party meeting. Ideally, a political party that has formed the government, the policies should emanate from party meetings and resolutions. That's the only confirmation that a party is run on ideologies," Barasa said in a video shared on Twitter by The Standard Digital.
He made the remarks on KTN's Morning Express on Tuesday morning, where he added that his stay in Jubilee doesn't mean that he is satisfied with the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led side.
On the other hand, the MP, an ally of Deputy President William Ruto, stated that his being in Parliament on the Jubilee Party ticket will not gag him from speaking out against the questionable happenings within the party.
"Am still in Jubilee. The fact that am in Jubilee and a Member of Parliament for Jubilee doesn't mean that I just sit down when am seeing things that I think they are not right," he added.
