This is after the Blues suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat at the hands of their arch-rivals Manchester United at the Old Trafford on Sunday.

It was a baptism of fire for Lampard, who was taking charge of his first English Premier League game since his recruitment a few months ago after his side recorded their biggest loss over United since 1965.

Lampard was one of the greatest midfielders of his generation when he played for Chelsea between 2001 to 2014.

Kisiang'ani, a diehard fan of the Blues, said fans loved Lampard as a player but cannot have him as the boss at the Stamford Bridge.

"As Chelsea fans we loved player Lampard but not coach Lampard! Chelsea is too big for him. He should resign immediately. Losing to Man United with a 4-0 thrashing is so painful. Chelsea fans cannot and will not take it. Lamps out!" he tweeted on Sunday.

United's Marcus Rashford scored from the spot on 18th minute and added another during the second half.

Anthony Martial and substitute Daniel James also got on the scoresheet in the second half.

Kisiang'ani, a Kenyatta University lecturer, admitted the heavy defeat of his favourite team gave him a sleepless night.

"Am unable to catch sleep because of this Chelsea loss. English coaches cannot handle top teams. They are mid-table guys," he said.
