The service went down at the Bomet Green Stadium where she hails.

The first service was held at the All Saints Cathedral Church in Nairobi on Thursday. The body of the deceased is expected to be transported to Koru in Kisumu County where she will be laid to rest. Laboso died on Monday at the Nairobi Hospital.

During the Thursday service, her widower Edwin Abonyo said that the deceased was a wonderful woman who stood with him at the time he needed him most.

“Joyce was an incredible woman who truly loved her job. Most of the time she was on her phone talking to Bomet people and sending MPESA to fundraising events. She was so dedicated in her career that we had to get used to calling her teacher, Madam Speaker, Mheshimiwa Laboso and finally Her Excellency Governor as her career grew higher,”  Abonyo said as quoted by Capital FM.

Ruto was the first to arrive at the service before  Raila and Uhuru followed respectively.

Laboso has been hailed as a strong person who stood up to make women count.
