Speaking on Monday during an exclusive interview on a morning program aired on Royal Media Services-owned Citizen Television, the FKF supremo said that accommodation issues would have been sorted out weeks ago but the ministry was dragging its feet on the matter.

"We have not received money for accommodation for that Harambee Stars which is landing 2 pm Cairo time today(Monday). So when they land in Cairo we have not paid for their accommodation, " Nick Mwendwa said. (9:45-10:00)

The revelation comes in the wake of concerns over the frustration that national sides are grappling which are said to be caused by the ministry of sports.

2 weeks ago the ministry was on the spot over the financial woes of the Harambee Starlets who are playing in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

FKF went public and called out the ministry forcing its officials to disburse the money required for the Starlets' continued involvement in the qualifiers.

The ministry of sports has not weighed in on claims made by the FKF boss that accommodation money for the national team had not been disbursed.
