Deputy President Dr William Ruto has made an appeal to the Senator Yusuf Haji-led Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) committee.
Speaking on Saturday in Cherangany, Trans Nzoia county, the country's second in command urged the BBI committee members to make public the calendar for the collection of public views.
"I want to urge Haji and his committee to make public the calendar for the collection of views from the members of the public (Tunamwambia Bwana Haji na kamati yake watoe taratibu ya mikutano vile wananchi kwa njia ya taratibu, ya sawasawa, watapatiwa nafasi ya kuchangia mawazo yao," the deputy president said.
DP Ruto made the case for a structured way of conducting the BBI affairs that will see members of the public also have a chance to have their views captured in the BBI.
His allies have charged that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga is using the so-called BBI meetings to advance his political agenda.
Mr Odinga has strongly denied the charge, saying that the meetings have nothing to do with him but aimed at bringing the country together away from the divisions of the past.
A section of Tanga Tanga legislators led by Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen attended the Mombasa meeting that was held at the Mama Ngina Waterfront on Saturday.
