Four people lost their lives on Saturday after the vehicles they were travelling in were involved in an accident in Masinga sub county, Machakos county.
The accident happened a few metres from Kangonde market along Kanyonyoo-Embu road.
Confirming the morning accident, Kangonde location Chief Sebastian Mang'ee said that the accident involved a personal car which hit a culvert and rolled several times.
"The driver lost control of the vehicle where it hit a culvert and rolled several times killing three occupants on the spot while the remaining one died at the hospital," said Mang'ee.
He said that the vehicle was heading to Kivaa at the time of the accident.
He urged drivers plying that road to be extra vigilant to avert accidents citing that many accidents are avoidable if drivers are careful.
"Drivers should avoid over speeding and be vigilant while on the road,most accidents can be averted if drivers are careful,"said Mang'ee.
He said that three people died on the spot while the other one died while receiving treatment at Matuu level four hospital.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Matuu level four hospital mortuary for preservation.
