Cops attached to the Transnational Crime Squad recently raided two popular stripper’s clubs in Westlands and made arrests.
The Thursday night ambush operation saw about 21 Nepalese girls rescued after they were found to be working there illegally.
Police conducted the raids at midnight, making it easier to find their targets in the clubs located along Chiromo Lane.
The girls are now held at a victim rescue centre managed by the Transnational Crime Squad as they do more investigations into the matter.
"If it is proved they are in the country legally, they will be released. But if not, the agency will decide on whether to take them back to Nepal," said a police source.
