The Ford Kenya leader says both administrations are doing almost the same things thus costing the country more than Sh5 billion annually in wages.

Speaking in Eldoret town on the sidelines of the ongoing 'Senate Mashinani', Wetangula said that the constitution clearly says the former provincial administration, currently Interior and Coordination of National government should be aligned with the devolution structure.

He added that if the two levels of governments were working together, then the country would save a lot of money to channel to development.

“The administrative structures such as having the Governor with County Commissioner and sub-county administrator with sub-county commissioner is a duplication yet all these people are doing the same thing costing the county a lot of resources that should be channelled to benefit mwananchi directly,” Wetangula said on Wednesday.

He also said that the government should seal off all avenues of corruption, punish the corrupt and recover stolen money and make corruption very expensive pointing out that "this will save huge sums of money that can enable the country stop over-borrowing."
