At a rally in North Carolina on Wednesday ahead of 2020 presidential polls, furious supporters accused Ms Omar, 37, of sabotage, some demanding for her immediate deportation to Somalia.

Born in 1980, IIhan and her family sought refuge in Kenya's Dadaab camp before flying to United States where they had been granted Asylum.

Early this week, in a vicious attack targeting Omar and three others, President Trump asked the four Congresswomen to go back to their countries and help fix them.

"Why don't they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came," he wrote.

But hours after the Wednesday's chaotic rally, IIhan took to her Twitter to defiantly mock GOP supporters, arguing that America is her home.

"I am where I belong, at the people’s house and you’re just gonna have to deal!" she wrote.

"You may shoot me with your words,You may cut me with your eyes,You may kill me with your hatefulness,But still, like air, I’ll rise.-Maya Angelou," added Ms Omar.

Out of the four women, Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib, three were born in the United States.

Ms Omar become the first black person of African origin to be elected to Congress in 2016 under Democratic party. She has sharply opposed Trump's Foreign policies.
