Uasin Gishu County leaders have send their message of congratulations to Eliud Kipchoge after breaking the INEOS 159 under 2 hours Challenge.
Through their official Face book Pages, they congratulated Kipchoge for making the country proud.
“My hearty congratulations to our legend and hero Eliud Kipchoge for making history by becoming the first man to run 42 Kilometres under 2 hours. The INEOS159 challenge has proved to us that no one is limited, I take the inspiration and challenge everyone to go for greater heights, with hard work and determination everything is possible,” said Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago.
"Eliud Kipchoge has proved that indeed #NoHumanIsLimited by managing to run 1:59:40 in 42Km race at INEOS 1:59 Challenge in Vienna, Austria. Eliud will remain a true inspiration to many that Indeed with hardworking and determination then everything is possible,” said the Kapseret legislator Oscar Sudi.
Sudi reiterated that Kipchoge will remain in the books of history as the first man to run below 2 hours in 42km race while at the same time uniting the entire world. No words can express my excitement right now.
“Hearty congratulations to Eliud Kipchoge for being the first human being to run 42KM Marathon in under 2hrs! You have indeed shown to the world that you only need to pick yourself up and aim higher,” said the Moiben Member of parliament Silas Tiren.
