Controversial blogger and social media personality Robert Alai has accused the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party of neglecting Norman Magaya.
In a blistering tweet on Tuesday, Mr Alai accused ODM supremo Raila Odinga of being in the business of exploiting his footsoldiers for his selfish interests.
"ODM neglected Norman Magaya? The face of their fight against Jubilee in the last election? Now the same people highlighting his plight shouted against me most when I told them that Raila is exploiting the ODM foot-soldiers for selfish gains. If Norman can suffer this way, ....." he tweeted.
The National Super Alliance (NASA) chief executive officer is battling a heart condition in hospital which has left him in a precarious financial position.
His health struggles amid financial difficulty have seen him trend on social media platforms with Kenyans calling for him to be accorded the financial support he needs.
"Nothing puts your life on a freeze like a heart attack! Complete lifestyle change! Your medical insurance cover becomes a big joke! Your finances get completely messed up. I have learnt tough lessons. But hey am a son of God! I will overcome," Norman Magaya tweeted of his condition on August 19, 2019.
The NASA CEO was at the front-line of the opposition's struggle against the government after the disputed 2017 presidential elections, rallying the NASA rank and file to come out and demonstrate against what he described as 'electoral autocracy.'
