Garissa Township Member of Parliament Aden Duale has waded into the war of words between Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga over fight on corruption.
Duale accused Raila of driving a wedge between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy by linking mega corruption in government to Ruto.
Speaking to Sunday Standard, the National Assembly Majority Leader said they were aware of the ODM leader's plot and they were closely monitoring his moves.
"We know his sole purpose is to rock the Jubilee administration, he will later have the last laugh. But we will not allow him to succeed in his heinous plans," he said.
Duale was taking his cue from his deputy party leader who on Friday accused Raila of criminalising war on graft by peddling lies and propaganda.
Speaking during a function in Garissa County, the DP said the ODM leader's plan was to ensure all Jubilee mega projects fail so he can use that as a campaign tool in the next elections.
"He told his friends that he is coming so that he can break Jubilee. I want to tell him there is a shortage of fools, my friend, in this town and in this country. My friend you will not succeed in breaking Jubilee because we know where we have come from, where we are going and what we are doing," the DP said.
The two political bigwigs have renewed their rivalry over two controversial dams in Elgeyo-Marakwet County where is alleged that over Sh21 billion has been stolen.
Raila insists money has been stolen while Ruto maintains that only Sh7 billion is in question, adding those quoting higher figures were out to sabotage the projects.
