Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri now says that Deputy President William Ruto is a victim of political envy.
Citing the DP’s rising number of critics and attackers, especially now that he is headed for the 2022 presidential contest, the lawmaker noted that Ruto is not a bad person.
He claimed that the hating quarters are angry with the DP because his achievements in both the political and economic arenas, hence their campaigns to sabotage his future moves.
‘’Ruto si mtu mbaya, shida ya wakenya ni chuki na ubaya wakikuona una pesa kidogo na unasonga mbele (he is not a bad person, just a victim of hatred from envious people who hate his progress),’’ said the parliamentarian on Radio Jambo on Monday evening.
He further bashed the leader's critics who are questioning his integrity, daring them to prove the allegations and unfounded claims implicating him on graft.
‘’Wanaosema ameiba pesa za umma walete thibitisho na watuambie pesa zenyewe zimeibiwa wapi (the ones accusing him of corruption must prove their allegations and tell us where exactly he stole from),’’ added Ngunjiri.
The DP who is warming up for the race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta has repeatedly been accused of looting public resources, claims spearheaded by opposition activist Miguna Miguna in his daily tweets.
