Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has nominated his deputy.
According to a tweet by NTV, Monday, Sonko, currently barred from accessing office over graft charges he is facing has nominated Ann Kananu Mwenda to be his deputy.
The nomination comes amid calls by a section of MCAs to impeach him over leadership crisis at City Hall.
Sonko has been serving as a county boss without a deputy since the resignation of Polycarp Igathe whom they were elected together in 2017.
Igathe resigned in January 2018.
