Following the death of Evelyne Namukhula, the woman who gave birth to quintuplets, Kakamega women representative Elsie Muhanda has called on Kenyans of good will to assist her family to cater for their daily needs.
Speaking at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital(MTRH) after viewing the body of the deceased on Sunday Muhanda said her death was unfortunate and that she had left a family and a deaf husband who cannot cater for their daily needs.
The deceased died at MTRH on Sunday while undergoing treatment.
"I want first of a to send my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the departed and pray that God gives them strength during this hard time," she said.
She called on Kenyans to come to the family's rescue by donating anything small they have to help the family since they are living under deplorable conditions.
"Through this Paybill, no 453739 Kenya can channel their contributions to help the family and burial preparations," the Kakamega women representative added.
She, however, refuted claims that her death could have been caused due to some traditional beliefs saying it's only through the postmortem report that Kenyans will know the cause of her death.
According to the Moi Teaching and Referral CEO Dr. Wilson Aruasa Everline Namukhula succumbed to chest complications at the hospital where she was undergoing treatment on Sunday.
