There were tears at Nyanchwa Adventist College in Kisii County after a security guard brutally murdered his colleague over a woman's love.
The incident happened on Monday night.
Confirming the incident, Kisii Central Police Station OCPD Francis Nguli said the suspect identified as Soteri picked a quarrel with the deceased famously known as Maasai before he hit him with a blunt object at the back of his head.
"Soteri and Maasai have been working at the institution as night security guards. Soteri noticed that Maasai was chasing his woman who is a P1 student at the institution. Soteri warned Maasai but he confessed that he was deeply in love with her," said Nguli.
He said the deceased body was taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral hospital morgue.
The OCPD assured that suspect is being trailed to be arrested.
