Jubilee Party nominated MP David Ole Sankok has insisted that the ruling bloc remains united, despite an emerging perception that the party is divided.
This has been based on the apparently growing rift between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto, who are at the same time enjoying support of the rival Kieleweke and Tangatanga Jubilee factions respectively.
Speaking on Wednesday, Sankok accused Kieleweke of trying to wreak havoc in the party.
However, he noted that the alleged behaviour is normal, on grounds that some hail from ODM.
He claimed that they are being mischievous as they were never part of the effort to create the party, and are also emulating ODM leader Raila Odinga whom he has repeatedly been accused of being against Jubilee.
"Jubilee remains united, those causing trouble are the mischievous children who were ODM orphans. These are the Kutoeleweka group (Jubilee iko pamoja, wale wanaleta shida ni watoto wakorofi ambao walikuwa mayatima walipotoka kwa baba ule upande wa ODM. Hawa ni wale Kutoeleweka)," he said in an interview on Radio Jambo on Wednesday night.
Also part of the panel was ODM Communication Director Philip Etale, Amani National Congress (ANC) Secretary-General Barrack Muluka and former Rongo MP hopeful David Osiany.
On the Kibra parliamentary race where Jubilee has fronted soccer star McDonald Mariga as its candidate, he observed that the party is very likely to win the seat.
Sankok noted that the fact that Jubilee has taken the fight to Raila's backyard is proof that it has beaten him everywhere.
"In Kibera we are satisfied, it's like we have already won. By taking the war to Raila's bedrock, it means that we have beaten him everywhere else and are now entering his bedroom (Hapa Kibra tumetosheka, nikama tayari tumeshinda. Hii kupeleka vita kwa bedrock ya Raila inamaanisha tumeshinda yeye kila mahali, sasa tuneingia kwa bedroom yake)," he added.
ODM's flag will be flown by Imran Okoth, brother to immediate former MP the late Ken Okoth.
