A section of leaders from Gusii region have reacted following Jubilee party vice chairman David Murathe to disown DP William Ruto's presidential bid in 2022.
The leaders led by Samuel Nyangeso, a former Kisii town mayor argued that DP Ruto's bid to become president will not be a walk in the park.
"DP Ruto must know that he won't get presidency just because he helped President Uhuru Kenyatta to win polls in 2013 and 2017. He should be ready to carry his own cross in 2022," said Nyangeso.
According to Nyangeso, Ruto's bad deeds in politics are following him.
"Ruto messed former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in 2013. The same thing shall happen to him in 2022 because more Jubilee leaders will abandon him the same way he did to Raila," he added.
Victor Swanya, a politician allied to NASA said Ruto must be a worried man.
"Ruto should not give Murathe's remarks deaf ears because it is a clear indication that 2022 polls won't be easy for him," noted Swanya.
Isaac Motari who is the Jubilee youth secretary general in Kisii County said Murathe won't decide on DP Ruto's bid in 2022.
