Naivasha Principal Magistrate Joseph Njoroge has released the six on a Sh5 million bond with Sh1 million surety each and alternative of Sh2.5 million cash bail each.

The court in its ruling also ordered the accused persons to deposit their passports in court, to be reporting to DCI Nakuru twice a week and not to make any contacts with witnesses.

The court in its ruling said the prosecution had failed to provide sufficient evidence to deny the accused persons bond or bail.

The six were charged on Thursday last week and spent the weekend at the Naivasha GK prison.

Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji said investigations revealed the Milmet Dam’s construction was done by unqualified staff, which led to construction and design flaws.
