ODM leader Raila Odinga has joined the list of notable top politicians who have sent their well wishes to Kenyans this festive season.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the former Prime Minister wished the Christian community a joyful time as they celebrate the Christmas holiday, calling for love, peace and oneness.
He wished that hope and trust leads the way as they mark the day when their saviour Jesus Christ was born.
"May the spirit of hope, peace, joy and the idea of love rather than mistrust among people flourish in us fellow Kenyans as we celebrate this day. A Merry Christmas to everyone," he wrote.
The leader further encouraged Kenyans to share what they have with those not as fortunate, terming it the time to positively affect the lives of the less fortunate members of the society.
"Christmas is the time to touch every heart with love and care as well as send blessings. Let us also not forget those who are less fortunate in the society. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas," he added.
This is as Kenyans are expected to troop to churches to mark the day, with others expected to crowd entertainments joints for the same purpose.
