Sarah is being held by the police as the main suspect in the murder of the 69-year-old tycoon, whose body was retrieved from a septic tank within his Kitisuru home in Nairobi County on Friday.

While the police view her as the main suspect in the case, Cohen's brother-in-law Roy Vanstraten noted that she was a very nice lady prior to the incident.

He said that she was not only learned, but also a well-spoken lady. Vanstraten said that Sarah had nothing negative he can speak of.

"She was a very nice lady, very well educated, very well-spoken, different culture but we expect that…I can’t say anything negative, absolutely not," he told Citizen Digital.

Gabriele Cohen, sister to the deceased, echoed the remarks, at least until two months to Cohen's disappearance. She described Wairimu as a charming person.

"She was nice, charming, entertaining,” said Gabriele.

However, things changed months before Cohen's disappearance. Gabriele recalled how Sarah once pushed Cohen off a huge terrace in front of his house, leaving the deceased with a bleeding forehead.

She added that Sarah, who is being represented by lawyer Philip Murgor, also attacked him with a chair, shortly before Cohen took to social media to complain of the assault.
