Kisumu All Stars head coach Henry Omino has called on fans to turn up in large numbers, and support the team on Saturday, during a Kenya Premier League (KPL) encounter against Nzoia Sugar, at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
It will be the third match for All Stars this season, after going down 0-2 against Ulinzi Stars last month, before registering a 0-0 draw against bankers KCB last weekend.
“Fans should continue supporting us. They should not look at the past. We lost the first match and got a draw in the second which means we are going for a win against Nzoia,” Omino told Hivisasa in a phone interview on Wednesday.
Omino noted that his lads have shown tremendous growth since facing Ulinzi Stars last month.
“The boys are showing growth. That initial fear is now leaving them. After two games, they now believe they can compete against the big boys in the league,” the veteran coach said.
The former Western Stima tactician believes his side deserved to get all the three points against KCB, adding that they were unfortunate to secure a draw.
“We did everything humanly possible to get away with all the three points but luck was not on our side,” he insisted.
All Stars is currently 16th on the KPL log with one point, while Nzoia Sugar is ranked 13th.
