After nearly three months absence in the country, Governor John Nyagarama landed on Monday afternoon from US.
The ODM county boss had gone for medical checkup in what insiders attribute to 'walking difficulties' due to his advanced age.
At JKIA, Nyagarama was received by Kisii County boss James Ongwae and Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo along with a host of supporters.
"I am happy to be back. It has been a long journey but I thank God for this favours," he said amid cheers from suppoters.
He added: "I am ready for the task having recovered. We shall interact with time as I prepare for the funeral ceremony."
His son, Ndemo Nyagarama, will be laid to rest on Friday at their Borabu home after suffering from acute meningitis.
Specifically, Nyagarama is said to have come for the burial and could be headed back for further medical examination.
