Established in 1928 during the colonial period, Moi Girls High School has grown to proof its academic prowess and is currently ranked among the top performing secondary schools in the country.
There is no doubt that the national school is the most sought after girl's school in the North Rift region as it is always the dream school of most students who perform well in their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).
Guided by their motto, 'Honour, Courage and Industry,’ 'Moi Gee' as it is popularly referred to has been able to post admirable results in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations for the past several years.
In last years KCSE results, the Eldoret-based school was ranked at position 11 nationally after it produced 14 straight As and 67 A-s out of the 344 registered candidates.
This meant that a majority of the candidates managed to join university through direct entry by scoring grade C+ and above.
With a performance index of 67.09, Moi Girls High School managed to beat other top achievers from the North Rift region including Segero Adventist Academy.
