Mr Nyagarama, who toured Magwagwa and Ekerenyo in North Mugirango on Wednesday, said he's busy serving his people.

"I don't want some few people to drag my name into 2022 succession politics since I am not the one to decide who takes over," he said.

Mr Nyagarama insisted that he will not be distracted whatsoever with 2022 politics.

He dismissed local leaders talking about 2022 politics as 'desperate people who have nothing to offer to the people of Nyamira'.

"Elections is three years away but some people are busy talking about 2022 instead of empowering our people to improve their livelihoods.

"I wish to confirm to the people of Nyamira that my administration will ensure all roads under the county are improved to ease transportation of people and agricultural products to the market," he stated.

The Governor said he will not tolerate lazy workers in his government saying he is committed to leave a development legacy after he exits office in 2022.
