Inooro TV reporter Victor Kinuthia has broken his silence after being ridiculed by Kenyans online over his command of English during a live coverage about the arrest of Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro.
He went live on Citizen TV's 9 pm news soon after Nyoro was arrested.
On his Facebook page, Kinuthia observed that he almost gave up from the attacks he received.
However, the encouragements from his bosses, colleagues, friends, and fans encouraged him to continue.
"I almost gave up when I found myself trending all over after yesterday's 9 pm news. But after receiving calls and texts from my bosses, colleagues, friends, and fans I must say am encouraged. Boy child rising !! Tupatane sema na citizen !!" read his post in part.
However, some of his colleagues were fast to defend him.
Citizen TV's Yvonne Okwara observed that the reporter will get better in time noting that it is a norm when doing something new for the first time.
"It was his first time. He will get better with time. We all start somewhere. We will train him," read her post on Monday night.
In a thread, she explained that it was not all rosy during her first interview with a certain MP.
