Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot and Belgut MP Nelson Koech have now threatened to table a motion of impeachment after the allegations surfaced to the public domain.

The legislators have now said that they will  push for the removal of the Cabinet members if they are proven beyond doubt to be behind the scheme.

The four are James Macharia (Transport), Peter Munya (Trade), Cecilly Kariuki (Health), and Joe Mucheru (ICT).

“We are warning the Cabinet secretaries and principal secretaries who are trying to play dirty tricks that we are watching them closely.

"Parliament will not hesitate to censure and impeach any of them for daring to undermine Dr Ruto,” said Mr Koech, as quoted by Standard

The CSs are summoned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to shed more light on the allegations.

Munya has, however, said that the claims are nonsensical. He revealed that he was informed that the second in command called the DCI George Kinoti over the matter before they were summoned.

He, however, said that they will continue working with the DP amid the storm.
