A Kenyan doughnut has become so popular that it has emerged in every town and village in Kenya.
The doughnut, popularly trending as KDF, has become popular for reportedly its ability to keep one full for a day.
Men working at Nakuru’s Ng’ambo quarry said they have so much respect for KDF because one is enough to make you work a whole day.
“Hapa maKDF ndio zetu. Unamunch moja kajob kanasonga kusonga,” Peter Nderi told this writer.
Before KDF came, the deal was kangumu and mandazi but that is no longer the case as this new kid has edged out the two.
It is credited for its massive ‘flesh’ inside and we don’t know what else which makes people so damn full.
Recently, KDF trended on twitter after Kenyan On Twitter (KOT) trolled popular news anchor Betty Kyallo when it appeared she doesn’t know what a KDF is.
A user had asked the sassy TV girl if she eats KDF, then she asked: "What is KDF?"
KOT went full throttle on her for not knowing what a KDF is.
Here are some of the top responses she got:
Clichy_Skill: KDF is a big issue than land grabbing here in Kenya ; KDF issa household name .. Issa our national heritage. The government has done a lot to achieve that. How can @BettyMKyallo fail to know that?
jothamhimself: It's some mandazi made from super glue and some cement mixed with wheat flour. You eat two and cast news for two days non stop, only needing 10 glasses of water every hour.
Away from the trolls, here are different names given to KDF:
1. Navy Seal
At Strathmore University, we gather that comrades call this new kid a navy seal. Hehe, may be it is due to its ability to seal the stomach from hunger!
2. Jubilee
In Karatina, people say it is one of the products of the Jubilee government, it was a pledge just like they were to give free primary laptops among others!
3. Kidathi Kinene Fiu
