The party has been undergoing a number of tribulations including infightings, disagreements and an apparent widening rift between Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto.

Manyora noted that this is the 'fire of the handshake burning', arguing that that the party will be the first casualty and might be razed to the ground.

"I can see the handshake fire starting to burn, and the first house to burn will be the Jubilee house," he said on NTV's AM Live show on Monday morning.

Since the truce, two factions for and against the handshake have emerged, with those in support, under the 'Kieleweke' tag, accusing the rival 'Tanga Tanga' side of opposing progress.

On the other hand, 'Tanga Tanga' has been cautious with Raila, saying that his intentions are not good and he could be out to frustrate the party's unity and focus ahead of the 2022 polls.

The commentator also weighed-in on Ruto's alleged assassination plot, saying that it has been confirmed to be false and the country should now focus on other things.

This follows revelations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) that the letter with the information was fake. The DCI is now investigating Ruto's aides who are said to have forged the letter.

"I am surprised the whole country is coming to a standstill to discuss a fake letter," he added.
