KPL is coming to an end on Sunday, 7th October, with the last match promising to be nail-biting pitting the four teams.

Thika United and Wazito FC have already bitten the relegation bullet as one of the teams between Posta Rangers (37), Nakumatt (37), Nzoia Sugar(38) and Chemelil Sugar(38) is likely to face relegation play-off with the NSL number three, as only a point separates the four teams with goal difference.

And as KPL curtains come down on Sunday, the new season will kick off on 8th December and the teams will have one month to rest before resuming business.

This is according to the KPL CEO, Jack Oguda, who stated that the change is in line with the CAF order, that requires all leagues to start August and end in May.

In addition, Oguda noted that the change in the KPL season will affect the transfer window, consequently, the transfer window has been changed to November and Match from January/June market.
