The popular artist will be hosted by Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria during the event to be held at Thika Stadium on Saturday night.

The much-publicised concert has been organised by Kameme FM and it's sister station Kameme TV, all which belong to leading media house Mediamax Network Limited Company.

According to organisers, other musicians scheduled to perform are Gikuyu gospel music bigwigs Ben Githae, Loise Kim, Muigai wa Njoroge, Wakabura Joseph and Muthee Kiengei wa Watoria.

Also lined up to entertain the expected huge crowd is Bahati, David Wonder, Maima and Gikuyu secular artist Samidoh.

Kuria, popularly known in Central Kenya as 'njamba ya ruriri' (warrior of the community), has been a prominent face during music concerts organised by Gikuyu artists.

The Jubilee legislator has also been in the forefront defending musicians who have found themselves in trouble with the government.

A few months ago he paid Sh250,000 to bail out John Gichiri who had been arrested and charged in court over his controversial 'Ikamba' song.

Gichiri was accused of writing and recording the song which allegedly mocked the Kamba community over a charcoal ban by Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu.
