ODM party leader Raila Odinga has asked Kenyans from different walks of life to back the Building Bridges Initiative.
Speaking in Kisii on Friday during the first BBI consultative forum, Raila said that the BBI implementation will mark the beginning of a new era.
The African Union Special Envoy said that the report is going to unite millions of Kenyans once it is implemented to the latter.
He appealed to leaders to educate Kenyans on the same so that they can back the report for the sake of social, economic and political development of the nation.
"BBI is the only bridge to take us to Canaan," he said.
The opposition leader argued that there will be more consultative meeting in different corners of the country as they educate the general public on the benefits of the report.
Interior CS Fred Matiang'i heaped praise on Raila for accepting to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta after the long electioneering period.
He said that the unity between the two leaders has changed several things about the country. He further asked Kenyans to stand with the duo to ensure that the Big Four Agenda are achieved at the end of the day.
"This is the first time we are sitting as the people from Nyanza region to engage in one direction," Matiang'i said.
The leaders have embarked on tours to popularise the report in different parts of Kenya amid debate on its implementation.
