While appearing in NTV Am Live on Monday, Muthama said that the incident is a clear indicator of what will transpire in 2022 if the leaders do not embrace the spirit of tolerance. He condemned the duo for acting in an unacceptable manner.

Muthama also said that time has come for the leaders in different government capacities to show a good example in the society.

“The funny thing is you have one young gentleman who is a first time MP and another person who is a senior politician. The politics of division that is starting to take place is a precursor to politics in we shall see in 2022,” he said.

Muthama also said that there is a need for leaders to sit down and discuss pressing issues in their society rather than engage in fistfights. He also reminded leaders to concentrate on matters of development than anything else.

"If we are not able to sit together and have old politicians and younger ones sit together and come up with politics of development and politics that is agenda based then I think we’ve lost it," he added.
