President Uhuru Kenyatta has been asked not to change his mind over a lifestyle audit on all civil servants.
Speaking at his Kijauri home on Saturday, former Bonchari constituency MP Protus Kebati said a lifestyle audit should be done urgently.
"President Uhuru should ensure the lifestyle audit he said is done to nab individuals who have acquired wealth through dubious means," he said.
The former lawmaker said Uhuru should not succumb to threats that he will lose friends by ordering a lifestyle audit.
"A lifestyle audit is apart of the efforts of fighting corruption in this country. Uhuru should not spare his friends who have stolen public funds," he stated.
A Kisii based ODM politician Samuel Omwando said if Uhuru changes tune on lifestyle audit, corruption will not come to an end in this country.
"Uhuru should ensure before he leaves office in 2022, a lifestyle audit is done to get those who have stolen public money for a recovery to be made," said Omwando.
