Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi on Sunday cast doubt on Deputy President William Ruto's commitment in the war against graft.
In an interview with K24's Anne Kiguta, Mudavadi said that President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is completing his second and final term in power, has proven beyond doubt that he wants to protect the resources meant for the taxpayer.
He, however, noted that DP Ruto has not been very vocal on the same issue.
Mudavadi, who is eyeing State House in 2022 said that Uhuru and Ruto are not reading from the same script when it comes to matters of fighting graft, which has affected Jubilee's performance in different ways.
"He (President Uhuru) has spoken more aggressively about corruption and fighting it than his deputy," he said.
He also said that he will not tolerate graft if he ascends to power in 2022.
He argued that the country has lagged behind in terms of development because of graft. He appealed to all leaders to stand up against certain vices.
"It would be zero-policy on corruption," he said, adding that he is the best bet for the presidency.
