Nyeri Town Member of Parliament Ngunjiri Wambugu has 'warned' leaders who are against President Uhuru Kenyatta's agenda of uniting and developing the country.
The firebrand lawmaker took to his Facebook account on Thursday and noted that this year 2020, the oppressors of the Head of State in the Parliament will be sent packing in order to give Uhuru a humble time to fulfil the promises he made to electorates prior to his election.
''In 2020 the ‘President’s Men’ in Parliament will ensure that all these assets that are meant to work towards promoting & protecting the President’s agenda in Parliament are aligned with ALL his agenda. We will not allow those meant to promote & defend the President’s position to attack and undermine it, as happened in 2019," read part of Ngunjiri's post.
According to Wambugu, the Jubilee leaders should all support the fight against corruption and the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) in order to read from the same script with the commander in chief.
''Any Jubilee MP who currently occupies a leadership position in either Senate or the National Assembly is therefore on notice. If you are not aligned with the President's agenda; if you don’t agree with the fight against corruption or support the BBI; pack & leave that office, before February,'' added Ngunjiri.
Ngunjiri's sentiments come amid Uhuru's alleged fallout with DP Ruto whereby the second in command enjoys support from the Majority Leaders in both Houses (Aden Duale is the Majority Leader in the National Assembly and Kipchumba Murkomen is Majority Leader in the Senate).
